With school out for winter break, many working parents struggle to find safe, enriching childcare.
The DeKalb County Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs is hosting Winter Break Camp 2025, an after-school/care camp for children during the holiday break.
It’s a great opportunity for kids ages 5–12 (or 5–13) to engage in fun and enriching activities — a mix of recreation, arts & crafts, games, and social time — while parents take care of other responsibilities.
Activities & What to Expect
Campers will take part in a variety of activities, including but not limited to: arts and crafts, games, indoor recreation, and structured youth-oriented programming.
The camp is co-ed and run by trained recreation staff from DeKalb County.
Because it’s a “day camp,” participants return home each evening; the camp provides supervision and structure during school break days.
