On July 13, the DeKalb Initiative for Children and Families (DICF) hosted its monthly Collaborative Meeting, bringing together approximately 30 community partners committed to improving outcomes for children and families across DeKalb County.
Representatives from nonprofit organizations, government agencies, private providers, the Georgia Family Connection Partnership, the DICF Board of Directors, and faith-based organizations gathered to share resources, strengthen partnerships, and collaborate on strategies that support our community.
We were pleased to welcome Aviva Berman and Jordan Lewis of Resilient Metro as our featured speakers. They shared their expertise on building resilient communities and highlighted valuable resources, training opportunities, and tools available to organizations serving children and families. Their presentation sparked meaningful discussion and reinforced the importance of collaboration in creating lasting, positive change.
DICF extends its sincere appreciation to Clarkston First Baptist Church and Rev. Karl Moore for graciously hosting our July meeting and providing a welcoming space for community partners to connect and collaborate.
Our monthly Collaborative Meetings continue to serve as an important forum for organizations to exchange information, build relationships, and work together to strengthen the network of services available to DeKalb County families.
