The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation seeks to improve health outcomes in the communities where Sprouts Farmers Market operates stores by supporting nutrition education, nutrition access, and wellness programs.

The following grants are available:

  • The Sprouting School Gardens Grant supports school gardens and classroom cooking programs to foster hands-on learning and nutrition education.
  • Growing Healthy Kids Grants support community-based programs focused on children’s nutrition access, nutrition education, and health and wellness.
  • Wellness Across the Lifespan Grants support programs that provide adults and vulnerable populations with access to health and nutrition education, healthy lifestyle and behavior programs, and nutrition security.

The Teshinsky Family Foundation is dedicated to helping people in the United States develop skills to enter sustainable careers. The Foundation’s Career Pathways Training Grant supports direct service training programs for post-secondary career pathways in manufacturing, building trades, welding, and select other high-demand, high-wage fields. Grants are provided to nonprofit organizations in the continental United States serving participants ages 18 and above to support training or equipment costs.

The mission of Classics for Kids Foundation is to empower young people to shape positive futures through music, build sustainable stringed instrument music programs, and provide grants for high quality instruments. The Foundation is offering matching grants to K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations serving at-risk and rural youth throughout the United States to help purchase stringed instruments including those from the violin family, guitars, and ukuleles. Grants will not exceed 50% of the total instrument cost.

Kroger’s charitable giving supports nonprofit organizations in communities where Kroger Family of Companies operates. As part of Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste plan, priority is given to nonprofit organizations and programs that help end hunger and waste in Kroger communities.

Support is also provided in the focus areas of:

  • sustainability
  • health and nutrition
  • disaster relief
  • diversity and inclusion
  • education and youth development

Cash donations are provided, including through grants from The Kroger Co. Foundation and The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation. Other types of support include sponsorships, gift card donations, and in-kind product donations.

Rural Technology Education Grants support teacher and student-led projects in public schools and libraries to help spark student interest in technology-based careers.

Support is provided for projects that:

  • help introduce and teach students about computer technology;
  • teach students to solve real-world, human service, and community-impacting problems using computer technology;
  • are conducted by schools in rural or high-poverty areas;
  • are designed to reach multiple students within a school, equitably, and
  • help establish ongoing student interest groups like maker spaces and coding clubs.
